stainless steel nuts?

 Go to amazon and search for "Nut Splitters" You can purchase sets of
(4) for $26.00 to $32.00. Harbour Freight on 31 sounth will also have
them. The ring fits around the nut and then you rotate the hex screw
and drive the anvil down unto a "flat" side of the hex nut you wish to
split. I normally just split one side. You can also split two sides
opposite each other and the split nut halves will more easily come off
the bolt in question. I didn't see your photo.... but a 1/2" nut will
use the smaller nut splitter.
