[Public-List] Blowers

I glassed over the hole in the port sail locker on Checkmate, after
converting to diesel. It sounds like the later builds are better-the
discharge to the lazarette vent. I have been 'pooped', following
breaking sea running an inlet in the middle of a tropical storm (a
sequence of conditions that really should be avoidable, nowadays)
filling the cockpit. That's when a realization develops the cockpit
drains may be a tad undersized, as well as the cockpit may be a bit
large. Sure is nice on the Bay, though.

The problem, as someone has already mentioned, is that with heavy rains, the bottom quarter or so of the squirrel cage housing of the fan fills with water. I have thought about making a drain hole at the bottom but then any fumes coming from below would leak out defeating its purpose.
