When I added a propane system to Candy Cane about 18 years ago, I also mounted the tank on the stern pulpit. At the time I was able to buy a tank holder, which was basically a pair of lengths of stainless tubing bent into L shapes, with little studs screwed into the bottom/horizontal sections to keep the bottom of the tank in place, a few pieces of plate welded to the vertical bits to keep them the right distance and orientation from each other, and then bolted to those plates were some plates (with some bends for alignment) to clamp it to a stanchion, and another small piece of plate that was bent into a hook shape to hold the tank down and in place by its collar.
I'm pretty sure it was a semi-custom job by some local stainless welding shop that otherwise does boardling ladders, dodger frames, etc., so my recommendation would be to ask someone who does canvas if their dodger/bimini frame fabricator might be able to do something similar.
Cheers,
Kris

Any ideas? For several years now I've stored two 1lb bottles in a section of drainage type abs pipe strapped to the aft pulpit. 3d printed end caps and some paint resulted in a pretty clean solution. I always have fuel for the bbq and they are not inside the hull.I'm headed for Mexico in the late fall so 1lb bottles aren't going to do it.Regards,Greg
