She will have a factory number which starts with 30, then two digits for the years she was built, (if she was built in 79, those two numbers) then three digits which represent her hull number. The long number you’ve listed below is a US number imposed later for boats sent to the States. That’s not a Whitby Boat Works number.
Do you know your sail number? That number will be the last three digits. The number to go on your plate would be 3079 then the three digits of your hull (and sail) number.
