I'd like to clarify the distinction between a scammer and a troll; https://archive.org/details/thepowerbookstory/mode/2up was written by a troll, while the guy he was trolling was a scammer ;) (Of course now I want to reread it, and the round out the legendary trolling reading list with the story of @StealthMountain)

Honestly though, the p-p-p-powerbook story is a very worthwhile read for anyone who "Bruce Johnson" followed up with.
