She moves effortlessly through the water on even a gentle breeze as seen in this clip: Yacht "Surprise", getting under way under sail-alone<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYwOalvX94E> from a couple of days ago.  I thought Georgian Bay was under blizzard warnings but it seems almost tropical compared to the view from my window!

Oh boy I wish it were warm like in the video? just now it is snowing like crazy and I?m just getting set to go out to the boat to rake snow off her cover.  We?ve got a bit of winter yet here.

But? the worst of it should be over in a few weeks? and the boat will be back in the water in April.  We?ve got a freighter wintering in our harbour here and that is always a gladsome thing.   The Canadian Coast Guard will come in March to bust the ship out and that bodes well for earlier thawing of the harbour.

Thank you Hugh? in fairness I do recall having my feathers trimmed a little the year I brought Surprise down to Toronto for the Syronelle a few years ago.  Being up against Jazz and the other well sailed A30?s was good for our humility!
