<P><FONT size=2>What I ended up doing regarding the seagull doo doo, and won't
know if it works for a bit yet, is tie a thin rope around the mast, about a
foot up from the boom, to the end of the boom -- to prevent them from perching
on the boom (this appeared to be the big sedentary spot). For the rest
of the boat I bungied two pieces of netting to the lifelines so as to prevent
them from landing/perching on the deck.</FONT></P>
