<P>It all sounds so logical and easy, especially compared to Triads price....however
by the time I designed up a trailer for my Bluenose sloop, stripped the
old trailer down and welded all new metal where the old metal was paper
thin, by the time I bought wheels, tires, wheel bearings, retreival winches,
straps, electric lights, hitches, screw pads, new 2" X 2" channel for supports,
do you know I could have bought a brand new TRIAD? IF you plan on
keeping the boat see if you can negotiate a little better price with Michael
Orr and pay it off over a couple of years....Also if you make your own,
it has to pass a safety inspection by the state troopers before you can
take it on the road. Michael at TRIAD has blue prints of all of the
classic sailboats, knows the weight distribution and balance points and
does beautiful work. I know because I bought a TRIAD trailer from
him for my Pearson Electra!
