<DIV><FONT size=2>Next season,January for me, I intend to have the mast taken
down.One of the jobs to be done is repainting.The paint on it now appears to be
a single coat of something thin,like Awlgrip,probably the original finish. There
are lots of bare patches where the wire halyard has worn away the paint film.I
would like to sand it to provide a key but I don't know if sanding would be
enough to allow something like Easypoxy to take and if sanding would damage the
anodising.Also there are some redundant screw holes to be filled.Would Metaltex
be O.K. or might it push through when sanded?</FONT></DIV>
