<P>What most A30s do is to rig a line about 6' long with a block on the end. This line is tied to one of the bow cleats. The foreguy is tied on the spinnaker pole, fed through this block and led aft to the starboard side of the cockpit where a cleat [usually a clam cleat] is mounted to the coaming. If the pole topping lift is lead to the same side, then you have "up and down" pole controls handy for one crew member to manage.<BR></P>

<DIV></DIV>cleat at the mast would seem to make it hard to adjust the topping lift and
<DIV></DIV>downhaul every time you adjust the pole, unless you had someone sitting
<DIV></DIV>there for the whole downwind leg. How do ya'll handle that?
