<P>Yes, you can remove the tank over the top of the engine if it is the original or an original replacement 16 gal tank under the cockpit - I have done it, but you will need to remove the exhaust system and may be opening pandora's box. Plus if the tank is original, it's overdue for replacement. Better to install a fuel filter between the tank and engine to catch the debris [carry spare elements] and deal with the other parts one at a time. </P></DIV>
