<P>Diesels are great. I think it is safe to say that the single biggest problem with diesels is a supply of clean fuel. Old fuel can have all kinds of stuff "growing" in it like fungus. Dirty fuel will cause numerous symptoms such as hard starting, poor idling, lack of power etc. Cleaning suspect fuel is your best bet and has the highest probability of solving you problems. Make sure you change ALL of your filters. If you don't have a Racor installed, buy one. If you have an on-engine filter, change that too. The on-engine filters can be difficult to find at your local stores, Boat/US, West Marine etc doesn't carry them but may order them. I found NAPA auto parts in Annapolis carries everything I need including filters, replacement fuel pumps etc. Check out NAPA for you engine needs! [I don't own any NAPA stock]<BR><BR></P></DIV>
