things I did was to change from a wire/rope main halyard to an all rope 3/8"
halyard. It fit fine and I used it for the six (or so) years I owned her with no
problems. The current owner is still using the same halyard and hasn't mentioned
any concerns to me.</FONT></DIV>

take a 3/8" halyard.Is there space in the housing above the sheave for this
size line?If the space is tight could it be increased by careful use of a
grinding stone on a Dremmel? Is 3/8" an O.K. size for a mainsail
halyard?</FONT></DIV>
