<DIV>I am pretty sure that it is not original. This is a common location for a
transducer. Does it have a thru-hull fitting with a valve mounted on it, or is
it just plugged? I have one in about the same location that was added for a
speedometer which I never use any longer since the GPS. Rather than glass over
the hole, I plan to convert it for use as an intake for a bow wash-down.</DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Tait Tait #478 has a small GRP moulding in the cabin on the
hull where it rises from the cabin sole.It is about three feet aft of the V
berth bulkhead on the starboard side.It is roughly six inches wide six inches
high at its deepest side,has a horizontal top with a circular hole about two
inches in diameter cut in the top.I think it may be for a depthfinder
transducer but am not really sure.It also looks original,not an add on.Anyone
else have one of these? Happy New Year everyone.</FONT></DIV>
