[alberg30] Staysail on the sailplan?

Pardon my ignorance, but the A30 sail plan on George's site
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Alberg30/A30sailplan.jpg
shows a staysail or the like set inside the headstay. I presume it's not a 
storm jib because of the overlap, and it is cut very low, though I stand 
ready to be corrected.

What am I looking at here? Do you have one?
