Lee,
mine is set up like yours but the vertical portion of the dogleg
that fits into the sleeve has a pin sticking out on one side.
The sleeve mounted on the outboard side of the bunk face has
two notches. Then when you insert the dogleg into the sleeve,
you line up the pin with one of the two notches in the sleeve.
One position will place the table over the cabin sole and the
other position will place the table over the starboard bunk.
Works very well.
