Gordon,
   I think you are absolutely right about finding an A30 that is in 
origional shape. Greg seems to be within 70 or so miles , so maybe we 
can get together along the line. But if not I'll put the word out for 
some pictures and I think some will show up.
   My Westerbeke is 18hp, I haven't worked with the impeller yet. When 
we started it up last summer everything worked fine, so all we did was 
change the oil and filter and try to make sure all else was working 
properly. I'll check out the diesel filter business in the spring. All I 
know is that I have blue cylinder about 8in. long and 4in. in diameter 
in the diesel line. My tank is in my starboard lazzarette with a 
straight fill nack so you can chack it easily
   Wiring on mine should be OK. It was installed in 1991 according to 
the paperwork I found in the boat. It only has 156 hr. on engine 
accoding to the gauges. I do like the way you change oil on these, they 
should all be so simple!!
