Hi Gordon,
If you are serious about mounting a wheel, and the installation requires the
addition of a stuffing box on the rudder post, be VERY careful about binding
the bronze stuffing box to the glass rudder tube with enough mat, glass and
resin. I saw one of these installations fail. There was not enough glass
applied to the bronze fitting, and the fitting began to turn when the rudder
was turned. The whole thing leaked, and an expensive short haul, and miserable
job chisseling out the faulty glass, and roughing up the bronze to make a
better contact surface, and laying on ALOT more material resulted. Are you
sure that teak cocktail table is worth it?:)
