Loran works pretty well if you 1) are not close to a really powerful
low-frequency antenna field like that at Annapolis (Navy) and 2) if your
model has the same sort of computer controls as early GPS. I recall the
really old Lorans which had a 'scope on which you had to line up the
pips, read the delay, and plot it on loran charts. You need the
instruction manual to know what buttons to push unless it is very
intuitive loran.
