Hopefully you also have the coupler.  It contains a preamp for the receiver 
and interference filters.  For an antenna, you use an 8' CB radio antenna, 
get one from Radio Shack.  The Sitex 787C was fairly common about 15 - 20 
years ago as a low end Loran.  They are fairly easy to use and accurate.  Now 
that the Navy has stopped using the towers in Annapolis it should work over 
most of the East Coast.
