We have a 12 hp Yanmar in Carina Vela, and with the three blade prop, she
moves at about 5.5 kts/2600rpm.  I personally think the 30hp is overkill and
will put too much weight in the stern of the boat.  The other issue is that
of space in the engine locker.  With the 12hp, we can reach around the
engine to access the cockpit drain seacocks, something that may be rather
difficult if you went with too large of an engine.  

	We constantly motor against a 3+ kt current, and are able to keep
enough headway.
