[alberg30] keel rust - expansion - split glass

I have a similar problem on my Alberg 30 # 150, the fibre glass on top of
the iron keel had split and the rusting iron had expanded and pushed up the
glass. I found that it was only the top surface of the keel that was
affected after I cut away all the glass that was loose. I plan to
re-fibreglass the top of the keel and that should solve the problem.

found an area in the bottom of the boat where the keel rusted and split the
glass, from expansion. About sixteen inches long by eight inches wide.
Located forwardmost under the saloon, just aft of the door to head/hanging
locker.

Comments, advice.

My thoughts, if water is migrating into the keel from below the waterline,
the boat could sink. Or, water seeping in could aggravate the rusting, and
expansion of the keel, slitting the keel glass open.
