[alberg30] keel rust - expansion - split glass

found an area in the bottom of the boat where the keel rusted and split the glass, from expansion. About sixteen inches long by eight inches wide. Located forwardmost under the saloon, just aft of the door to head/hanging locker.

Comments, advice.

My thoughts, if water is migrating into the keel from below the waterline, the boat could sink. Or, water seeping in could aggravate the rusting, and expansion of the keel, slitting the keel glass open.
