Hi Gordon,

here`s an alternative setup for your old tiller autopliolot. On my 
boat a previous owner installed wheel steering and cut 
the tiller arm to about 2 1 /2 feet long. I leave it in the raised 
position to keep it out of the way and ready as an emergency 
tiller. The remaining tiller arm is also used with the old tiller 
autopilot and the setup works fine.
