Dear Gordon,
	Sounds like it might be adequate, but it dosn't help me much because the guy
(previous owner) that installed mine cut a ragged 12 x 18 hole just in front
of the tiller post and then screwed a piece of sheet aluminum over the hole
with pan head screws. i have to put a hatch there, but may need another
forward in the sole for engine access. 
	What so you think of my idea for remounting the pedestal as a right angle
through the forward bulkhead of the cockpit?
