Lest Russ's message be lost to people who aren't folowing a discussion
about coolers, NB: I also replaced the cockpit drain hose a few years
ago when I found that the cooler drain was "Teed" into a rusty fitting
near the water line (that seemed not long to this world) in the cockpit
drain hose. Since the engine compartment (A-4 engine) gets quite hot, I
used exhaust hose for the replacement, and also ran a separate cooler
drain line into the bilge. I actually looked for suitable hose for quite
a while until someone suggested exhaust hose to me. If you've never
checked this fitting, I'd suggest checking it "real soon." I had to cut
the old hose into two pieces to get if off, BTW.
