Lee,

The Yanmar mounts are flexible, and keep our 2gm 15 alligned, which the
old mounts did not. They have some sort of rubber in them. The only 2
drawbacks that we have found are price (high) and that they
disingtegrate if oil drips on them. The diesel guys at Lowe's Boat Yard
in Staurt, FL where we were towed after the mount collapsed (now we know
to check often!) said that it was oil dripping from the oil filter when
Bill changed it that caused the right front one to fail several years
ago. Our diesel guy from Chestertown later said that the right front is
usually the first to go because of that. Even so, the first set lasted
13 years.

I am guessing that the most important parameter is that Yanmar would
make a mount designed for Yanmars. Just a guess from a non-motor
expert.
