Lee, I sent an answer  out to Gordons question.  You'll find it on the list.
Nothing at the mast, leave it alone.  Just a flatening reef cringle on the
leach.  When you pull it down it bunches the sail a little, but usually it's
not in for a long time.  What , crush a dacron sail  ?,  mine doesn't look
crushed.  I think some of us worry too much.  Besides, sailmakers have to make
a buck too.  Smile      Russ
