When Carina Vela was launched, the forward sling was placed just forward of the
keel,and the aft one in line with the beginning of the cockpit.  I wouldn't try
to rest the sling on the rudder shoe due to all the stress that this would put
on the gudgeons and the rudder itself.  When the boat is in the slings, it will
naturally tilt forward slightly, but only because of the fact that there is
more lead in the forward part of the keel then there is aft.
The best bet is to trust your boatyard with this, as they sling boats all day
long.
