Sanders if you fit a down haul on the boom, it will give you the ability to 
tighten the luff, without cranking on the halyard.  With a fixed goseneck, 
you would have to use a cummingham to do this trick..  Unless your sail is 
over size, at full hoist, you wil have some adjustment at the bottom.  In 
light air you should not need much, if any if your sail is in good condion 
and not blown out, but as the wind increases, down haul trim will keep the 
luff   forward, where it belongs  I have a 4 part tackle with a cleat on the 
lower fiddle block. works fine.  You will need to put a fitting either on 
deck, or at the bast of the mast, about where you would hook your vang.
