If you see that fiberglass tape broken over the door, should the mast be 
reinforced?  My A30 shows no sign of "swag", "dimples", or "soft spots" on 
deck.  The v-berth doors will not close because the piece over the doorway 
has migrated a bit.

Someone told me the "mast had settled a long time ago".  That this was not 
new and it was unlikely that there would be any further deterioration, 
especially since the deck shows no signs of change.

Your thoughts please.
