Subject: [Alberg30] prop shaft thread

My prop shaft threads, aft of the prop, and the nut threads are corroded,
probably from galvanic action.  It's in fresh water now on Lake Champlain.
The remaining shaft inside the threads is down to 1/2" diameter.  Is there a
reason that I should not re-thread, with that limited of a width?  The
shipyard is advising that I replace the shaft, and I'd like to check into
re-threading 1st.

Fellow Albergers:

I am currently in the process of assembling a new head stay with the NCI 32
Profurl. I am looking for the measurement from the anti-halyard wrap stopper
and the 1/2" pin in the mast head fitting. Any help would be appreciated.

In addition to the Roller Furling, someone mentioned that they may install
Delrin under the Genoa and Jib Track. If the measurement of the raw material
is required, I have one piece remaining from the restoration of #114. The
measurements can be provided at this time before I use this piece under the
track supporting the goose neck.

    Yes, This IS the problem. Almost any sailor can crank a winch to get =
me up the mast. It takes more knowledge and skill to SAFELY lower =
someone slowly. Too many sailors are too used to just throwing the lines =
off of a winch when tacking or lowering a sail and don't understand how =
to control a descent.  "Gee it wasn't slipping, so I took another turn =
off"
