We've been real happy with our Schaefer 1100 roller furling. We find that we sail more because it's so much easier. I chose the Schaefer over the Harken because of problems I was hearing from owners of the Harken system when it was under a lot of tension. Tom Maroldy has a group purchase going on another brand, you'll need to speak to him about that.

Subject: [Alberg30] Re: prop for A30
I have just had my Alberg 30 hauled to have a bottom job and do other work
while she is out of the water. Upon pulling her out, someone made the
comment that the prop doesn't look like it's the right one for this boat.
With my limited expertise, what I can determine is that it is a two-blade
prop. Does anyone know if this is appropriate for my boat? I would
appreciate any assistance you could offer about specs for this. My engine is
an Atomic 4 (if that helps).
Also, the piece of chrome that would go across the stern is damaged and needs
to be replaced. I have the old bent piece. Any suggestions on having a new
piece made for this?
Also, would you recommend installing roller furling? If so, what type/brand ?
Thanks, Lorelei
