[Alberg30] Jiffy Reefing

My main sail is currently set up for roller reefing.  I am in the
process of ordering a new main and I will order is with two slab reefing
points.  My question is where should I fasten the reefing hooks for the
luff, i.e. on the gooseneck or on the boom extrusion itself.  I think I
would like to keep both systems operational.  If I attach the hooks to
the gooseneck, am I liable to mess up the roller mechanism.

I will appreciate hearing from anyone who has an experience with this.
