George,
  Was your tube of 4200 unopened and still no good? I've had this tube
(caulking gun size) of 5200 for several years unopened, standing upright, on
a shelf in my basement. I can still squeeze the tube. Are you suggesting
that it probably has cured in the sealed tube rendering it useless?
   Mike Lehman has suggested that 101 would be the choice between the two
tubes I own. 101 is my preferred general purpose caulk.
   Do you think I should discard the tube of 5200 or save it for at least
another 6 months before I undertake some other "glue it down forever"
project?
