[Alberg30] Tables and Voltmeters?

The table infor. is inspiring-- many fine ideas, and yes, I was
wondering what the heck that block of wood with the barrel bolt in the V
berth was for. Can't wait to try it out now.

An electrifying question-- I'd like to buy an all around useful digital
voltmeter for checking batteries accurately as well as whatever other useful
purposes it might afford. (Obviously I'm no electronics meister.) Can anyone
recommend a specific brand/model? What sorts of functions should it have?
For very general use, does it matter how many functions are there? I don't
need the best, just one that's useful, simple, and moderately expensive or
less.

    Many thanks (again!)
