[Alberg30] Holding tank - group purchase?

Andy:

I think I would like to participate in the group purchase if it can be
arranged. I do have a few questions, though.

Will the tanks be totally blank (i.e., will the hole that Chet Koop referred
to his e-mail of 9/11 be "spun welded")? If so will the fittings be
separately included?

I would like to be able to install mine so that I could be able to use a
locking "Y" valve connected to a pump for overboard discharge when making
open water passages outside the limit. Is that possible with the Krakor?

The Krakor catalog is actually available on the web as a PDF file and
can be found here:

http://www.kracor.com/support/holdingtanks.pdf

They seem to sell a bunch of different models of various shapes and
sizes. The 5057 is listed at 15.5 gallons (58.8 liters) and it somewhat
wedge-shaped. I'm not sure how well this will come out but the cross
section looks like this:

+------+
| |
| /
| /
| /
+----

16 inches across the top
12.5 down the left side
6 on the vertical right side and across the bottom

It is 22 inches deep (i.e. perpendicular to the screen).

Hope that helps,

I have been reading the posts re: the holding tank with interest. What
I haven't seen are the dimensions of the Krakor 5057. (I looked in my
WM catalogue but couldn't find that model number). I have a holding tank
located under the center forward part of the v-berth. It is out of the
way, but is only nine gallons in volume (my best guess from dimensions).
I would also be interested in the discribed Krakor tank and a group
purchase. But Mike can you or anyone else post the dimesions and
volume? I am not interested unless it's an 18-20 gallon solution.
Thanks.
