[Alberg30] Wooded???

In several articles I have read lately there was a reference that teak was wooded and then finished with cetol. In the interior of the boat they wooded mahogany and then finished with clear Awlgrip. What is the process of wooding and where can I read more about it?? Or is the term "wooded" another way of saying cleaned and finished.
