[Alberg30] Mast Step and Plate-

On #590 I have the mast step and plate off, due to accidentally pulling them UP
last fall when I took the mast down.  There are two plates, the top is stainless
with raised edges for blocks & vang and an insert for the mast.  The top threads
into the bottom plate with 4 FH bolts.  The bottom is aluminum and was only
attached to the deck area by six short 3/8 FH screws that threaded into tapped
steel inserts.   The bottom plate was sealed to the fiberglass with adhesive,
that did not hold.  The bottom plate is centered on the underside beam.  I
drilled two 1/4 holes in the plate and will bolt the plate through the deck, one
bolt coming out just aft of the beam below.  The other hole I will have to screw
& seal as it seems to go into the beam.  The old steel inserts were removed, the
holes filled with epoxy and have been drilled out & re-tapped for new inserts.
The core seems ok.  I should have finished this yesterday but there was a bunch
of golfers out on some nice Georgia water hazards on tv.
