My boat #296the bulkhead is tabbed to the hull with glass. I think I would
reinforce that tabbing with epoxy resin and biaxial tape, remove my bow cleats
and incorporate the cleats and padeye into a beefier unit. I am reluctant to
weld a tang on my mast or bolt it using one 5/16 bolt due to creating localized
stress or a stress "riser" at a weld I think it would be better to fab a tang
that uses more & smaller fasteners I would like to get feedback from someone
who builds masts or does rigging?
