[Alberg30] Hull 432

Often used sails are not from the same make of boat, which would explain why
the foot is short and there is no insignia on the sail.

Thanks. I was surprised when I found that the sail number and the hull
number were different. Your observation may help explain the fact that the
foot of the sail is shorter than I expected and it does not have the A 30 I
have seen on Alberg main sails in our area. I am assuming that this is "what
is done" in designating a boat as an Alberg 30s.

Dave,

I don't have any old handbooks with me (and mine don't go back very
far), but I can tell you that, if your sail number doesn't match your
hull number, someone purchased a second-hand sail. For example, you'll
often see sails with 484 on them, because Harry Gamber sells his older
racing sails to cruisers.
