[Alberg30] Battery compartment floor crack; chainplates

Hi all,

I finally finished replacing al the 1/4" screws with 5/16 bolts on the
chainplates -- whoever said (a few weeks ago) that this is not rocket
science, but very time consuming had obviously done this... BTW, by way
of doing this, it became apparent that 2 small leaks were through the
chainplates. I'd suggest that everyone check that caulking every year,
if they don't already.

I noted yesterday that the fiberglass in the aft battery compartment is
cracked all the way through along the stbd side for a length of a foot
or so. The plywood under it flexes some, and appears damp and may be
rotting. It holds my 165 lb. weight w/o flexing much, so I'm ignoring it
for now, but I wonder if anyone as had to repair that area, and what
advice can be offered?

Thanks,
