I have a three bladed prop and do not notice any difference, in fact I took 
3rd out of 10, in the Miles River race two years ago. My die-hard racing 
friends would never consider a 3-blade prop because of the drag, but I think 
you can make that up with luck.

Ehen I switched Isa Lei #240 to the Yanmar, I used a 13x13 3 blade.  It has 
done a wonderful job for the past 5 years.  Plenty of speed under power, 
plenty of power to pull some one off a sand bar.

I have done research on the Yanmar 2GM20F (13HP) and found the optimal prop
is a sail pitch 13X13. This prop handles river currents and a good sea with
winds.
