[Alberg30] stem head fitting

I have a plan to make an anchor roller fitting that will require me to
take off the stem head fitting at the bow of the boat. I think we had
some discussion of this last winter, but since I could not find it after
searching the archives for about an hour last  night, I  thought I would
ask - how does one remove the stem head fitting? or is it a "can't be
done item"?
