By butt - I presume you are meaning the base of the mast. It ALWAYS goes
aft. And it does matter. I haven't measured it when assembled, but it is
about 3' feet higher than the spreaders - my guess is that it is about 24'
assembled. There are two blocks both double blocks one with a becket and
about 125-150' of line.

The photos on the Alberg 30 Web site show the butt going forward. Does it
matter?
Also, how long is the A frame when disassembled?
