[Alberg30] Fuel tank questions

On the 1966 Albergs, where was the gas tank located?

On to my questions...

I need to ground the deck fill fitting for my diesel tank. I'm going to buy a new one because the old one had corroded in half.

Do these fittings come with a place to attach the ground, and can the ground run from the deck fill to the fuel sensor ground, then to the boat ground or do I need to ground each separately.

I've not had a gauge hooked up to the fuel sensor atop the tank. There are two wire connections there. I assume the one attached to the sensor plate's the ground and the other on the pin is the hot. It doesn't look like it's ever been used, so I'm assuming it works. What kind of sensor do I need to buy?

Finally, someone last year on this list mentioned the venting of the tank by running it up one of the stantion bases. Which base did you use and do I need to "vent" the top or bottom of the base or is there enough air in there to do what it needs to do?

I'm having all new hoses made today. I took the old tank down from it's starboard side location and am replacing everything except for the water separator and the tank.
