[Alberg30] two blade vs. three

Mike Lehman is probably right, with regard to backing with a 2 blade--in
fact I know he is. But you might also find that you get better forward
movement with a 3 blade, by which I mean that (the theory is) you have less
slippage per revolution of prop with a 3 than a 2. If you motor a lot, this
may be important to you. If the extra drag is of concern to you, and you
don't make a habit of backing up a lot, by all means go with a 2 blade.
Your shaft should slide out fine without 2 blade prop removal. Mine does.

But I am puzzled. You should be able to get your prop off the shaft with a
gear puller, and then get the shaft out, without unshipping the rudder,
regardless of prop. Is there something unusual about your rudder or prop
aperture? Or shaft length? And, why do you need to take your shaft out?

By the way, what size is your prop? I am looking for a 3 blade......
