Hello again -

I did not mean to send my last email... my finger slipped.

What I wanted to say was that I have done a pile of studying on lightning
and was horrified to discover that you can find supporting evidence for
nearly every conflicting defense strategy you can think of. So what works?

Cruising World Mag. did a story this season addressing that very issue
(Bless 'em) Their conclusion was as follows...

1) Grounding your boat makes it more likely to be struck - but less likely
to be damaged.

2) Not grounding your boat makes it less likely to be struck - but if it is
struck damage is likely to be worse.

So what to do?

The author of the article said for his boat he would not ground.

Me, I jus' dunno.
