Chris,

Please my Email on this subject. We were thinking alon g the same line to
use a lazer level. however using one mark midships assumes that the boat
will be set level to the water when it is hauled.  That has never been my
experience.

My boat sits down at the stern according to the waterline as painted (my
boat has somewhat recent awlgrip job). When I sit in the cockpit it's
really down by the stern! If and when I repaint her I will pick a calm
day and mark bow and stern port and stbd max beam in order to set up my
laser line to strike the waterline.
