[Alberg30] Mast Rake - Part II

An old trick I heard years ago from a sailmaker was to run a very light
line - twine will do - from the pulpit to the pushpit and tie it tight under
tension. Where the line intersects with the mast draw a line and have
someone tighten the backstay until the string line moves away from the drawn
line - at that point stop tightening the backstay as all you are doing is
bending the boat.
Mark your backstay tensioner or turnbuckle threads at that point and that is
the maximum load you should put on the backstay - as any more will simply
bend the boat.

Just a suggestion.
